Tuesday Thoughts

Last night I was able to at least be awake and productive. I felt a bit more human. I went over to Liesl's house after work and we organized & boxed up over 300 back to school kits for the children of the Ukraine. (Pictured is the Transitional Living Center where the 16 years olds who graduate from the orphanage are able to stay so they can get some higher education, both academically and spiritually. My ex room mate Debra and her husband Lance are house parents) My church has the most generous hearts, it's really a blessing to see. Billy brought over dinner and stayed to help. Did I mention how much I appreciate how supportive and encouraging he is? Jeremiah's Hope is a wonderful organization that has supported my two trips over there.

Wonderful news, one of the most gentle, kind and respectful couples I know got engaged over the weekend. I'm very happy for them both, they are so well suited to one another. They are both over in China right now on a mission trip. Please pray for Wendy & David's efforts with Friendspeak and the orphanages over there. Also, their upcoming preparations towards marriage.

I'm trying to keep my mind off of the shooting pains in my stomach and the nauseousness. I picked up some heavy stuff last night and the sick feeling in my stomach went away for a while. When we got home, the packet from NM Children's Home was there. Dr's visit, references, and alot of personal history/ view points and ideas about how we would raise a child. I hope everyone has a great day. My sweet husband offered to make dinner tonight, I really do appreciate his compassionate heart so very much. I'm sure he would enjoy a different response to the question, how do you feel, then tired and stomach hurts. These issues could all be effects on my cycle due to the HSG from 3 weeks ago.

Here's my comfort for today from Proverbs 31 Ministries as I wait....(You can find the full devotional at this link...http://proverbs31devotions.blogspot.com/)
“Years passed, and the king of Egypt died. But the Israelites continued to groan under their burden of slavery. They cried out for help, and their cry rose up to God."
Exodus 2: 23-24 (NLT)

In some situations God shows His great mercy and the exit is quick – we’re left in awe by His power. In other situations, God chooses to take us by the desert road to strengthen us. Two things are certain no matter the route: victory for us and glory for our God.
