Okay, so we are filling out the 19 page new patient packet and they request ALOT of documentation. They want a copy of both Billy and my benefit plans to see if we are covered in this area from an insurance stand point. I don't know if it will paste correctly but here is Billy's insurance Coverage:
Infertility Services The following services are not covered:Health services and associated expenses for infertility treatments.
Reproduction Applicable services:● Voluntary sterilization.● Health services and associated expenses for elective abortion.● Contraceptive supplies and services.● Fetal reduction surgery.● Health services associated with the use of non-surgical or drug-induced Pregnancy termination.
(In a nut shell, they will pay for an elective abortion, and fetal reduction but not for anything associated with infertility). It's very frustrating knowing they'll pay the terminate a pregnancy, even more so that it's an elective choice, but not help people have a child. In my current cynical, tired bratty mood, I would draw the conclusion that they want to prevent adding anyone else who might be filing claims in the future. God will provide, that's the advice I would give a friend, don't you hate it when you have to listen to the advice you give others and apply to yourself???
