Daniel- 5 years old

We celebrated with a few little boys Daniel's age at our church the weekend before his actual day Hot Wheels style with cotton candy . 

Oh his actual day, he chose to go to our neighborhood pool as a family of five. Good time was had by all 

Daniel- 4 years old

My precious second born boy. This guy is courageous, athletic, smart and loving. He's made amazing progress with speech and behavior with his therapists this year. A very small gathering with children that he has personally connected with to some degree is what was best for him this year. I still did a theme, because he still has such a great reaction seeing his favorite things to play with on his special day. Daniel's in to cars right now, anything with wheels and he's having a blast!

Love this precious boy and so glad we are his family and he's ours.

Daniel- 3 1/2

This heart warming charmer has come such a long way in the last 6 months. Shortly after Daniel's  3rd birthday we had him evaluated by a neurologist because he wasn't talking, making eye contact, sleeping through the night or connecting with people.

Since then we've removed dairy from his diet and that alone has made such a huge difference in his sleep and ability to connect .  We have also added omegas and backed off carbs. We are working on bringing him out by approaching him individually and patiently . He takes his time to respond and we are being more intentional to slow down and go at his pace so he feels heard. He's speaking 5-6 word sentences and asking questions .

He plays SO well with little P!

Daniel - 3 years old

Give me my three favorite things, my children, crafts and a matching theme and mommy gets to have plan planning birthday parties. In my family, birthdays have always been a big deal and I love carrying that forward. Celebrating life is my favorite reason to have friends over and have fun. Daniel LOVES water and we recently discovered Finding Nemo, so it was a done deal. He had a blast and played in the water outside for several days with all the fun water pools, table, sprinklers, etc that friends loaned us so we had enough to share with friends.

I love this precious, fun, lovable, active, giggly little boy!!

Daniel: 2 years old!

I'll do a general summer post with moving twice and everything else that's been going on in our family since I posted last in March, but Daniel turning 2 deserved it's own entry. We went to a neighborhood splash park and invited our good friends to come and celebrate with us! This happy, snuggly, laid back boy is such a heart warming addition to our family. His charm and personality definitely draws people to him. He adds so much laughter to our world :-)

Daniel - 18 months

Our little mover and shaker over the last few months. Daniel will climb on anything and everything. He's the happiest giggliest most laid back little guy. He's started saying bye bye and no.He's still using a paci, one great nap a day. He did transition to a big boy bed after finding him climbing out. He can operate the child door knobs too. All bets are all with this little guy :-) I don't have to be the smartest mommy, just one step ahead of him! 18 month visit went well, one shot. 97th in height at 34 1/2 inches and 50th in weight at 24.2 pounds.
