Today I gave my nephew Mark a quilt that my dear friend Brooke has been helping me make over the last couple of weeks. Mark is going to live with his dad. If you're reading this you're a good friend, so I ask that you pray for my sister and my nephew as this transition will be hard for both of them. Mark and Leah came over a few weeks ago so my sister could tell him. I asked if there as anything that I could make to help remind him of his mom every day. I offered a scrapbook, but he didn't seem interested, so somehow I offer a quilt ( have never made one before in my life) his eyes lit up... and I'm seriously thinking, what have I gotten myself into? So I start the journey to learn to make one. Brooke makes tons of them and they are all beautiful so I sought her expertise and priceless friendship.
Also one last prayer request. My brother in law is open to my dad contacting and spending time with the boys. Definitely an answered prayer from God. There's division in my family and a cycle of unforgiveness that brings me alot of sadness. I simply give that up to God as best as I can....
