N is for Nana and Papa

Nana and Papa are the boy's paternal grandparents. They live in New Mexico, but I can't thank them enough for their commitment to family in making the 8 hour drive at least once every 3 months. Billy's brother and sister in law also live in town with their two children. Sometimes the grandparents visit for holidays, the older grandkids performances, birthdays or anniversaries. But more often than not, it's just to visit. They are supportive and make the effort to call frequently to 'just check in' and see how all four of us are doing frequently. They are involved when it's good, bad or boring. They have always been incredibly welcoming, loving and accepting of me. They adore our boys and both of them light up when they come to visit. They get on the floor, play, act silly, read, let them play in their clothes and mess up their hair. They are respectful of our parenting decisions and never undermine in how we are trying to raise Matthew and Daniel. I'm very thankful of the gifts they give the boys that reflect not only their love and the enjoyment of the gift, but something that also passes on the legacy of faith to the next generation. They have years of wisdom and experience walking with the Lord. I pray our children will grow up knowing the rich legacy of faith, love, laughter and commitment to family they have instilled in their daddy and for future generations.

Pictures from their visit in March:

I'm going through all the grandparents eventually, I promise :-)
