Then we were off to La Jolla which was stunning, this was Billy's favorite part of the vacation. La Jolla is a higher scale beach front area, further north of San Diego:
Our last sight for the day was a tour aboard the aircraft carrier museum USS Midway right off downtown San Diego. Going with Uncle Bruce who is retired from the navy and the fact that my grandfather served in the Air Force made it very special. This would have been great for a high school field trip, it made history come alive for me. I took a ton more pictures, if you're interested they are on my facebook page.
I mentioned on the first day we stocked up on a few snack foods for our kitchenette at the hotel, but for the most part we ate out. This was a very healthy place, similiar to our Souper Salad restaurants here in Dallas:
