It seems very appropriate that my last entry ended with the broken foot story. This morning I went to the doctor and received permission to ditch the boot, yeaaa!
In the last six weeks while God was healing my foot, we listed our house on the market, had 9 showing with 2 offers in two days. After appraisals, inspections, repairs and closing, this last weekend we moved! We packed up 90% of our belongings to go in to a garage we've rented. The other 10% of our things are with us. I can't imagine why I haven't been blogging ;-) The schooling blog has suffered too, but I'm using nap time today to catch up. We accomplished move #1... well let's be honest. Billy moved. The boys and I just accepted all social invitations for the day and stayed out of the way on April 13th. Mission accomplished and we had lots more fun, sorry daddy. He was a power house. We left our comfy beds that morning and were back in our comfy beds that night, just in a different location.
With a broken foot, two sick kids and moving, it's been a reminder of the words temporary. This is a season of life right now that will pass. No use complaining about it, it's not going to change anything. We look for the best and pray about the rest. And no one forced this on us, we willingly chose it. It's a great move, we gave control over to God. If the house sold and if we found something that was right for us. If the numbers made sense and if this was the direction God wanted us on, it would happen.
For the next four months we are in an apartment. Second floor with two small boys, we'll be outdoors a bunch!
Glad it's happening during spring and Summer time :-) Parks, pools and adventures, here we come :-) Move #2 coming in August......
