Matthew has a stomach bug and daddy had to work some, so we stayed close to home today.
Thankfully, some good friends think hanging out at our house with our kids is their definition of fun, so we had some great company! We hung out, played in the back yard, went down to the pak, bbq'd and enjoyed the day together. Thank you Michael and Katy, we had so much fun!
Great perk was that we can see local fireworks from our backyard. The boys were happily sleeping in their rooms. Matthew did wake up at the very beginning since he's such a light sleeper. Billy went up to rock him and asked if he wanted to watch and Matthew said no. Billy and I watched the finale together. It was a great end to a special day :-)
