He will normally smile or at least sit sweetly while we sing to him. He smiles at This Little Light of Mine and The Wise Man. We are off key and aren't the best singers anyway, but that is not new. We are laughing, rotten parents we are....
Just wait. One day you'll be singing This Little Light of Mine and Matthew will hold up his finger (light) and start shining it around the neighborhood. He'll suddenly hide it under the bushel and then shine it again.
And you will not be able to sing that song without tears in your eyes every single time. Your pride will be swelling. And the realization that he's learning about loving God and loving his neighbors with a simple song will overwhelm you.
Colt now does hand motions to Wise Man, Little Light, Read Your Bible and Pray Every Day, and Roll the Gospel Chariot. He loves to hear ME sing. Not a CD, but ME. I think it's one of the most powerful experiences of parenthood I've had thus far.
That's hilarious! Jake had a serious pouty lip when he was about that age that still comes out when he's really upset. And I think it's okay to laugh. :)

I'd cry to, Matthew! :-)
That is precious, Lori! What a cute little face (even when it's disgruntled).
