Heroes & Captivating

This weekend was good. Billy and I spent a bit of the weekend catching up on a tv series. We have been working through the dvd's of season 1 on Heroes. It really didn't seem my thing at first, but I must admit to liking it now. Season 2 premiere is tonight. Billy will be dvring even though he's home tonight.

Captivating Study is tonight for me. I'm praying about a retreat that is coming up in November for the study. Tiredness hit me last night. Within 5 minutes I went from joking around with Billy to being almost asleep at 5 pm as we were about to leave for a fellowship with our new Sunday small group. I was nervously looking forward to the event as I'm not very good with people I don't know well. We are looking forward to a smaller group where we can feel needed. Since we've gotten married, we've changed Sunday morning classes a few times, volunteered, contacted the church as as well as class leaders. I don't know what's not clicking. I don't think it should be this hard to feel like we belong. It's been so easy to float through lately. We haven't really felt missed. It's a tug between reaching out and feeling as though people are reaching out to us. Lately, I've definitely felt more of a taker, needy even. I really trying to work on focusing on others and caring about what is going on outside of us.
