My sweet strong confident first boy is nearing 3. He's nearing potty training and a big boy bed. He's talking in complete sentences with clear comprehension. He's growing and learning daily. I'm so proud of the little boy he's becoming. I'm so grateful to be his mother. He's such a likable small human being.
I know Matthew will sit for minutes at a time and flip through a book 'reading' words as he goes.
I know he will say cheesebuger for the camera ;-)
I know he enjoys outside no matter what the temperature outside.
I know those bright blue eyes will find mine and the connection melts my heart.
I know his thirst to know 'what's that' will serve him well learning about the world around him.
I know how excited he gets when he finally gets something that he's been frustrated with but refuses to give up on.
I am so proud of him for being direct enough to say, play/ sit/ read/ chase/ tickle me when he needs it and he trusts us to meet that need.
His fascination with all critters is so very endearing to watch.
He's all boy and if it moves, he's there wanting to play with it. Cars, trains, boats, planes, etc...
Once he picks a favorite book he'll ask you to read it until he knows it by heart and then he'll help you if you mess up.
I know and trust my sweet boy will be ready for milestones in his own time and it will be wonderful!
I know his heart wants to share, because he's starting to see the fun in it, and we are being patient with each other as we learn.
I know it's hard for him to say goodbye to fun....
He knows please and will you, go a long way.....
He knows being a good friend means going last and caring about other people's feelings.
I am so thankful to God for letting us raise this precious soul. I pray we have many more years to spend together learning, growing and having fun!
