The 22nd was my sweet husband's birthday. Trying to plan for 14 people to come to your house for a detailed planner husband was tricky. Didn't want to lie but couldn't tell :-) Billy had been wanting a game night for some time, so after we all ate an Italian dinner:

we split in to 4 teams of four for the updated version of Cranium. Thanks Jill & Tim for bringing it!

Also in there was the first planning session for the 2009 Ladies Retreat. It's April 24-26th GOCC ladies, save the date! Headed up by Anna & Krista. Two incredible ladies whom I'm blessed to call friends:
Just in time for that meeting, I finished scrapbooking the 2008 Retreat. Thanks to all the ladies in my scrapbook circle for ideas on this project, especially Jennifer, Liesl and Lauren! Here's a peek:

I love Texas and ice days.

It's a great opportunity to finish projects! I've wanted a t-shirt quilt since I was a teenager. I took a break and put this together. It's about 10 years of jobs, churchs, concerts, camps, volunteer projects, retreats, our honeymoon and other vacations. It's warm, big enough for both Billy & I to snuggle underneath together and full of great memories.

Yesterday was one of my favorite girl's day outs. I met up with Katy & Sarah and 19 other women up at my church for Project Linus to sew baby blankets for children. They donate them to children in hospitals, shelters, as well as out of Fort Hood for kids who have fallen soldier parents. Great organization with sweet talented people. While the women did this our husband met up for breakfast and played video games. It's so great that not only do I enjoy being around these women so much but also that also our husbands have common interests as well.

That night the men at the church had a "meatfeast" so Katy and Jill came over. We had a great time talking and eating :-) The guys joined us when they were done at the church to play games. We girls kept talking, hehe.

Also in the last month I've met back up with old friends from Jr High and High School. Great phone conversations with Laura and Kristie. They are both precious girls whom I have carried very dear in my heart for many years. The reconnection is such a blessing. I am unearthing old pics to post here, hehe. More to come....
